What You’ll Be Doing

As a Controls 1 / Manufacturing Controls Engineer you will be a hands-on technical resource and a contributor to capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Optimize and support PLC and HMI systems to improve throughput and product quality
  • Troubleshoot controls hardware, integration, and process bottlenecks on the plant floor in partnership with operations and maintenance teams
  • Support design, installation, and commissioning of small- to mid-size capital projects and plant improvements
  • Apply Lean/Six Sigma tools to reduce waste, shorten cycle times, and author standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required)

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (not able to sponsor visas)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering OR 4+ years of practical engineering experience, plus at least 1 year of relevant industrial/manufacturing experience
  • Formal training in or at least 1 year hands-on experience with PLC and/or HMI systems
  • Must be at least 18 years old

Preferred qualifications

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
  • 3+ years of hands-on controls engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience applying Lean, 5S, or Six Sigma methodologies

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $80,000 – $83,000 per year (base)
  • Annual Performance Incentive (API) bonus potential
