Job Summary

Confidential Client is hiring a Mandarin Sales Consultant for outside sales in an assigned multi-city territory. This role focuses on building and maintaining B2B relationships with foodservice customers, driving sales growth, and delivering product and service solutions. The position requires travel within the assigned territory (up to 25%) and may require non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays).


Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $51,400 — $72,000 per year (provided in source)

What You’ll Do / Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business and penetrate existing accounts to achieve profitable sales growth within your assigned territory.
  • Identify and qualify prospects, following account stratification and territory plans.
  • Research customer needs and propose product/service mixes to meet goals.
  • Recommend products based on market trends and customers’ business objectives.
  • Provide product information, practical training, and value-added advice to customer personnel.
  • Manage customer orders, troubleshoot order/delivery issues, and work with operations/transportation teams.
  • Communicate with credit/accounts receivable when necessary and assist in collections under approved credit terms.
  • Participate in promotions, customer events, and sales/district meetings.
  • Prepare sales quotes, menu suggestions, reports, and maintain accurate sales records.
  • Support and mentor new team members as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline — OR — HSD/GED plus 3 years’ experience in restaurant management, B2B/outside sales, or equivalent relevant experience (including completion of a sales internship).
  • Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance meeting liability requirements.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Basic PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.

Preferred

  • Bi-lingual in Mandarin (strongly preferred).
  • Background in restaurant management, foodservice outside sales, or culinary/chef experience.

  • Agreement to company protective covenants as required by the employer.
  • Reside in or be willing to relocate to the geographic vicinity of the assigned territory.
