What You’ll Do

Under general supervision, you will be trained to manage small driver counts and/or non-traditional shifts (including nights and weekends). You’ll help ensure safe, on-time movement of freight, assign loads, and deliver best-in-class customer service while learning DOT compliance and driver/company regulation oversight.


Key Responsibilities

  • Learn to build and maintain positive professional relationships with drivers and external carriers to support new carrier setup, reduce turnover, and sustain productivity
  • Fill in for absent personnel and support special projects aimed at optimizing fleet operations and profitability
  • Assist with personnel management: onboarding, training, and supporting drivers and staff on internal and customer systems
  • Support measurement and reporting of key performance indicators; help create and present customer-specific financial and operational reports
  • Assist in managing inventory, assets, customer pools, and driver assignments to balance equipment in-market
  • Learn administrative duties: payroll support, Net-Revenue budget tracking, driver counseling, accident reviews, pay issue resolution, P&L analysis, and invoicing
  • Support yard operations: inspect equipment, coordinate minor repairs and preventative maintenance with maintenance teams
  • Help resolve service issues, routing conflicts, mechanical problems, and accessorial pay questions; participate in on-call rotations as needed
  • Support and promote the Company’s safety culture (daily safety messages, monthly briefings, quarterly training, annual reviews) and enforce DOT and company safety requirements
  • Learn to assign loads, plan routes, monitor freight movement, and manage freight exceptions and ETA adjustments

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field OR High School Diploma/GED with 1 year of experience in management, transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, or equivalent military experience
  • Willingness to travel to customer and company locations as required
  • Ability to work multiple shifts, including nights and weekends if needed
  • Willingness to regionally relocate depending on account assignment

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting pay range: $48,400 - $60,500 (factors affecting starting pay include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications)
  • This position may be eligible for annual bonuses and incentives based on profitability or volumes, per plan terms
  • Benefits for full-time roles (subject to eligibility): medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, short- and long-term disability, paid time off (vacation and sick), six weeks paid maternity leave plus two weeks paid parental leave, and six paid holidays annually
