What You’ll Do
Under general supervision, you will be trained to manage small driver counts and non‑traditional shifts (including nights/weekends) to ensure safe, timely movement of freight, excellent customer service, and DOT compliance.
- Learn to assign loads, plan routes, and monitor freight movement to meet customer pickup/delivery schedules and manage exceptions.
- Support driver and carrier relationships — onboarding, retention, and performance management.
- Assist with personnel management tasks including training, orientation, and driver counseling.
- Perform administrative duties: payroll support, invoicing, P&L review, and operational/financial reporting.
- Participate in yard and equipment oversight — inspections, coordination with maintenance, and basic repairs or parts replacement.
- Support safety and compliance programs: daily safety messaging, briefings, training, and enforcement of DOT/company requirements.
- Fill in for absent personnel and contribute to projects focused on operational efficiency and profitability.
- Travel to customer/account locations and represent the account in face-to-face customer interactions as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field OR High School Diploma/GED with at least 1 year of relevant experience (management, transportation/logistics, business administration, account management), or equivalent military experience.
- Ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and weekends.
- Willingness to travel regionally and relocate depending on account assignment.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without employment‑based sponsorship (this position is not eligible for sponsorship).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supervising or managing teams.
- Familiarity with freight operations, route planning, or carrier management.
- Strong analytical skills — able to read P&L, interpret KPIs, and recommend improvements.
- Effective communication skills across internal teams, drivers, and external customers.
- Problem‑solving orientation and ability to adapt in a fast‑changing environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and regulatory compliance (DOT).
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated pay shown on the ad is $55,385 per year (estimated). Actual starting pay may vary based on skills, education, experience, geography, and other candidate qualifications.
- This role may be eligible for annual bonuses or incentives based on profitability or volume.
