What You’ll Do
Under general supervision, train to manage a small driver count and/or non-traditional shifts (including nights and weekends). You will learn to ensure safe, timely movement of freight, assign loads, monitor deliveries, and provide best-in-class customer service while maintaining DOT and company compliance.
Responsibilities
- Learn to build and maintain positive professional relationships with drivers and outside carriers to support carrier setup, reduce turnover, and maximize productivity.
- Fill in for absent or unavailable personnel and support special projects that optimize fleet operations and profitability.
- Support personnel management tasks including training, orientation, and assistance with internal and third‑party systems.
- Help measure and improve fleet efficiency and profitability by tracking KPIs, preparing customer-specific reporting, and participating in financial analysis.
- Assist with inventory, asset and customer pool management and assignment of drivers to balance equipment across the market.
- Perform administrative duties such as payroll support, managing portions of the Net-Revenue budget, driver counseling, accident reviews, filing and documentation, resolving pay issues, invoicing, and generating operational or financial reports.
- Support yard management activities including equipment checks/inspections, minor repairs/replacements, and coordination with maintenance to ensure preventive maintenance and safety fixes.
- Work with drivers, customers, and internal teams to resolve service, routing, mechanical, and accessorial pay issues as they occur (including on-call situations where required).
- Support and reinforce the company’s safety culture—daily safety messages, monthly briefings, quarterly training, and policy enforcement—to meet DOT and company safety requirements.
- Learn to assign loads, plan and route freight, monitor movement, and manage freight exceptions and ETA adjustments to meet customer requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field OR High School Diploma/GED plus 1 year of relevant experience (management, transportation/logistics, business administration, account management) or equivalent military experience.
- Willingness to travel to account, customer, and company event locations when applicable.
- Ability to work across multiple shifts, including nights and weekends if needed.
- Willingness to regionally relocate depending on account assignment.

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $51,719.85 per year (as posted). Factors that may affect starting pay include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications.
- Potential eligibility for annual bonus and incentive programs based on profitability or volumes, as applicable.
- Benefits (for eligible full‑time employees): medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, paid time off (vacation & sick), six weeks paid maternity leave plus two weeks paid parental leave, and six paid holidays annually.

- Location: Monroe, OH (onsite / regional travel as required).
