Overview
Confidential Client is hiring a Manager Trainee to join a Logistics & Warehouse team in Dublin, OH. This early-career role provides hands-on training in fleet and driver management, DOT compliance, routing and planning, basic P&L and reporting, and operational support across shifts. Ideal candidates are adaptable, customer-focused, and comfortable working nights/weekends when needed.
What You’ll Do
- Learn to manage a small driver count and/or non-traditional shifts (including nights and weekends)
- Support safe and timely movement of freight through load assignment, routing, and monitoring
- Be trained to ensure and enforce DOT and company safety compliance
- Build and maintain professional relationships with drivers and reliable outside carriers
- Assist with carrier setup, driver orientation/training, and personnel management activities
- Support inventory, asset and yard management, including coordinating maintenance and basic repairs
- Assist with administrative tasks: payroll support, invoicing, P&L review, driver counseling, accident documentation
- Help measure and report KPIs, prepare customer-specific reports, and recommend continuous improvements
- Provide customer-facing support at account locations as needed and travel regionally when required
Qualifications
Minimum
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field OR High School Diploma/GED with 1 year of relevant experience (management, logistics, account management, business administration) or equivalent military experience
- Willingness to work across multiple shifts, including nights and weekends
- Willingness to travel to customer/account locations and regionally relocate depending on account assignment
Preferred
- Experience supervising or managing a team
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and fleet operations
- Strong problem-solving and judgment; ability to analyze situations and make productive decisions
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with drivers, customers, vendors, and peers
- Comfortable working in a fast-changing environment and handling operational exceptions

Compensation & Benefits
Reported compensation from the source: $51,719.85 (listed compensation range value).
Compensation factors may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications. This role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives based on profitability or volumes, where applicable.
