What You’ll Do

Confidential Client’s Operations Management Trainee Program is an entry-level, hands-on leadership development role. During an intensive 16‑week training program you will learn core transportation and operations skills and be prepared for your first supervisory role in operations.

  • Participate in a structured 16‑week operations leadership training program
  • Learn transportation fundamentals and efficient cross‑dock operations
  • Develop leadership communication, coaching, and relationship‑building skills
  • Complete guided independent study and assigned training modules
  • Interface with Support Center and Service Center teams to understand end‑to‑end processes
  • Shadow Account Managers on customer calls to learn client relationship management
  • Ride with drivers on local routes occasionally to observe freight delivery and handling
  • Prepare for relocation to another facility for your first operations leadership assignment after program completion

Who We’re Looking For

Candidates should be motivated, coachable, and ready to take on early leadership responsibilities in a fast‑paced logistics environment. This is an entry‑level role that requires both learning agility and a strong work ethic.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, or a related field — OR at least 2 years of related work experience
  • Acceptable driving history that meets Confidential Client’s standards
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; active listening and professional demeanor
  • Basic computer literacy (email, MS Office or equivalent)
  • Willingness to relocate after the training program for the first leadership assignment
  • Ability to work Third Shift and flexible scheduling as operational needs require
  • Clear background check and ability to meet any job‑related pre‑employment screenings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership potential (team projects, supervisory experience, or internships)
  • Experience in transportation, warehousing, or cross‑dock operations
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Comfortable working in a physical operations environment and occasionally riding along with drivers

  • Location: Orange, TX
  • Employment type: Full‑time (Internship option listed for training period)
  • Work shift: Third Shift
  • Average annual starting pay: $50,000–$60,000 (as listed by the client)
  • Relocation: Required after program completion for first leadership role
