What You’ll Do

As a Management Trainee you will participate in a 16-week Operations Management Trainee Program designed to prepare you for an initial leadership/supervisory role in operations. Working under a mentor, you will learn core transportation and logistics principles, cross-dock operations, leadership communication, and relationship-building skills.

• Participate in an intensive 16-week leadership and operations training program
• Learn and support efficient cross-dock and yard operations
• Interface with Support Center and Service Center associates to complete training tasks
• Observe and accompany an Account Manager during customer sales calls
• Ride along with drivers on local delivery routes to understand the freight delivery lifecycle
• Complete guided and independent study assignments and training assessments
• Develop leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills for frontline operations

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field — OR at least 2 years of related work experience
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving history per Confidential Client standards
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including active listening
• Basic computer proficiency (e.g., email, spreadsheets)
• Professional appearance and a strong work ethic
• Willingness to relocate upon completion of the trainee program for your first leadership assignment
• Ability to pass background checks and any required pre-employment screenings

Program Details & Compensation

• Employment type: Full-time (entry-level); Internship opportunities may apply
• Program length: 16 weeks (intensive leadership training)
• Work shift: First shift
• Average starting pay: $50,000 – $60,000 per year (actual pay may vary by location, experience, and qualifications)
• Relocation: Relocation to another facility for the first leadership role in Operations will be required after program completion

This opening is for Lubbock, TX. The role requires occasional travel for training activities and ride-alongs, and relocation after program completion is required.
