What You’ll Do
This Operations Management Trainee role is an entry-level, hands-on leadership development position. Over an intensive 16-week training program you’ll learn the core operations of a high-volume logistics facility and be prepared for an initial supervisory role in operations.
- Complete a guided 16-week Operations Management Trainee program combining classroom learning, independent study, and on-the-floor experience
- Learn cross-dock and terminal processes, freight handling best practices, and safety procedures
- Shadow an Account Manager during customer visits to understand client relationships and service expectations
- Ride along with drivers on local routes to gain practical knowledge of delivery operations
- Interface daily with Support Center and Service Center teams to complete training milestones and projects
- Receive mentorship from experienced operations leaders and present progress updates
- Relocate to another facility at program completion for your initial leadership assignment
What We’re Looking For
Candidates who can demonstrate leadership potential, strong communication skills, and a commitment to building a career in logistics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field — OR 2+ years of directly related experience
- Acceptable driving history per company standards
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; active listening and professional presence
- Basic computer skills (MS Office or similar)
- Willingness to relocate for first leadership assignment following the trainee program
- Reliable work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
Compensation & Schedule
- Average Annual Starting Pay: $50,000 - $60,000 (pay may vary based on location, experience, and qualifications)
- Estimated pay for this posting: $55,440 per year (estimated)
- Employment type: Full-time (Internship opportunities may also be available as part of the program)
- Shift: First Shift
