What You’ll Do

This accelerated Management & Sales Training Program prepares entry-level candidates to step into Store Management roles in approximately 18–24 months. You will complete an initial 8-week training curriculum and then work alongside store leadership to manage and grow a high-volume retail location.

  • Support business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and build long-term customer relationships.
  • Develop product knowledge to make effective recommendations to retail and commercial customers.
  • Assist with store administration, merchandising, safety, loss prevention, and visual standards.
  • Support hiring, training, coaching, and performance management of store team members.
  • Partner with the Store Manager to make outside sales calls and grow commercial accounts (e.g., painting contractors, purchasing agents, manufacturers).

Schedule & On-the-Job Scope

  • Typical schedule: 44 hours per week; may include evenings and weekends.
  • Work involves customer contact (may include minors) and access to cash, electronic equipment, and merchandise — background checks are customary where required to protect customers, staff, and operations.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
  • Bachelor’s degree required by the start of the development program.
  • Ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve materials from shelves and floor stacks and lift/carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs on occasion.
  • If internal to Confidential Client, you must meet any internal performance and eLearning prerequisites required for program eligibility.

Preferred qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of retail, sales, or customer-service experience.
  • Leadership experience supervising or leading teams.
  • Experience in team-oriented settings (work, extracurricular, or military).
  • Experience selling paint or related products, or experience with CRM/timekeeping systems.
  • Willingness to relocate for future opportunities.
  • Multilingual ability, including Spanish, is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated pay: $91,440 per year (estimated). Actual pay will depend on skills, experience, location, and other factors.
