Overview

Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is hiring for a Management & Sales Training Program trainee based in Saint Francis, WI. This accelerated, entry-level, full-time program prepares motivated candidates for store management and professional sales roles over an 18–24 month development path. Typical schedule is approximately 44 hours per week and may include evenings and weekends.


What You’ll Do

  • Complete an 8-week formal training curriculum and ongoing development milestones that prepare you for an Assistant Store Manager / Store Management role.
  • Support business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability for a high-volume retail location.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and build strong, lasting relationships with retail and wholesale customers, including painting contractors and commercial purchasers.
  • Learn and apply inventory, merchandising and store administration best practices to maintain excellent store condition and visual displays.
  • Partner with store leadership to make outside sales calls and grow market share.
  • Support employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, loss prevention, and security policies.

Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned training modules and demonstrate competency across operations, sales, finance, and customer service.
  • Drive retail and commercial sales through in-store and outside-sales efforts.
  • Maintain product knowledge to make effective customer recommendations.
  • Perform store administration tasks and support visual merchandising efforts.
  • Respond promptly to customer and employee concerns and help resolve escalations.
  • Follow company policies on cash handling, security and loss prevention.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship requirements.
  • Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
  • Bachelor’s degree completed by the program start.
  • Able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve materials from shelves/floor stacks and lift/carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally.

Preferred:

  • 1+ year experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
  • 1+ year experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Experience working in team-oriented settings (work, extracurriculars, military service, etc.).
  • Experience selling paint or paint-related products and familiarity with CRM or timekeeping systems.
  • Willingness to relocate for future opportunities.
  • Bilingual ability (Spanish strongly preferred).

Compensation & Benefits
