Overview

Confidential Client is seeking motivated candidates for an accelerated Management & Sales Training Program based in Reno, NV. This entry-level development program is designed to prepare participants for a Store Management role within 18–24 months through hands-on retail operations, leadership development, and professional sales training.

This role typically requires a 44-hour workweek and may include evenings and weekends.


What You’ll Do

  • Complete an 8-week structured training program and ongoing development activities
  • Learn full-store operations: sales, customer service, finance, merchandising, and loss prevention
  • Support store leadership in managing a high-volume retail location and day-to-day administration
  • Drive sales growth by selling to commercial and retail customers, including painting contractors, manufacturers, and purchasing agents
  • Make outside sales calls with the Store Manager to grow market share
  • Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
  • Support employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action
  • Resolve customer and employee issues professionally and promptly

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years old
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
  • Bachelor’s degree completed by the start of the development program
  • Able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve materials from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally

Preferred qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of retail, sales, or customer service experience
  • At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Experience working in team-oriented settings (work, extracurriculars, or military service)
  • Previous experience selling paint or paint-related products (beneficial but not required)
  • Experience with timekeeping or CRM systems
  • Willingness to relocate for future opportunities
  • Bilingual ability or proficiency in Spanish is a plus
