What You’ll Do
This accelerated Management & Sales Training Program prepares you for a Store Management role in roughly 18–24 months. You will complete an initial structured training period and then support store operations and outside-sales efforts while developing leadership and commercial-account skills.
- Complete program training and apply learnings to day-to-day store operations
- Shadow and support store leadership to manage a high-volume retail business
- Grow market share by selling to large commercial customers (painting contractors, manufacturers, purchasing agents)
- Support customer service excellence and build long-term relationships with wholesale and retail buyers
- Assist with store administration, merchandising, and maintaining visual standards
- Help train, develop, and support store teams; participate in performance management activities
- Partner with management on outside-sales calls and community outreach to expand business
Minimum Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
- Bachelor’s degree completed by the start of the development program
- Ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve items from shelves and floor stacks and lift/carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year experience in retail, sales, or customer service
- 1+ year experience in a leadership role (supervising others or leading teams)
- Experience working in team-oriented settings (work, extracurricular, military)
- Previous experience selling paint or related products is a plus
- Familiarity with timekeeping or CRM systems
- Willingness to relocate for future opportunities
- Bilingual skills (Spanish or other languages) are advantageous
Schedule, Compensation & Career Path
- Employment type: Full-time; typical schedule ~44 hours per week (may include evenings/weekends)
- Displayed estimate: $96,697 per year (estimated)
- This program is intentionally designed as a career accelerator — successful graduates are positioned to move into Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager roles with a clear development plan and ongoing leadership coaching.
