Role overview
Confidential Client is hiring for an accelerated Management & Sales Training Program based in Oxnard, CA. This entry-level, full-time program prepares successful candidates for store management responsibilities (typical promotion into an Assistant Store Manager role after initial training). The typical schedule for this role is approximately 44 hours per week and may include evenings and weekends.
What you’ll do
This program combines hands-on retail and outside sales experience with leadership development. Responsibilities include:
- Complete an established management and sales training curriculum
- Support business strategies to grow sales and optimize profitability
- Deliver outstanding customer service and build strong customer relationships
- Learn product knowledge to make effective customer recommendations
- Conduct outside sales calls to increase market share with commercial customers
- Assist with store administration, loss prevention, and store merchandising
- Support employee development, performance management, and corrective action
- Respond to and resolve customer and employee concerns
- Maintain store condition and visual merchandising standards
Minimum qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
- Bachelor’s degree completed by the start of the program
- Able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve materials from shelves and floor stacks and lift up to 50 lbs frequently (up to 70 lbs occasionally)
Preferred qualifications
- 1+ year experience in retail, sales, or customer service
- 1+ year experience in leadership, supervising others, or leading teams
- Experience selling paint or paint-related products is a plus
- Familiarity with timekeeping or CRM systems
- Experience working in team-oriented settings (work, volunteer, military, etc.)
- Bilingual ability (Spanish or other languages) is valued
- Willingness to relocate for future opportunities
