What You’ll Do
This accelerated Management & Sales Training Program prepares early-career candidates for store management and professional sales roles within an 18–24 month development track. You will complete a structured 8-week training sequence and then work alongside store leadership to manage a high-volume retail location and develop outside sales of commercial accounts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Complete the assigned training curriculum and development milestones
- Support business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability
- Provide outstanding customer service and build long-term customer relationships
- Learn and maintain product knowledge to make effective customer recommendations
- Build relationships with wholesale and retail customers, including painting contractors and purchasing agents
- Complete store administration and ensure compliance with safety, loss-prevention, and security policies
- Maintain store standards, merchandising, and promotional displays
- Support employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action processes
- Respond to and resolve customer or employee concerns professionally
- Partner with the Store Manager on outside sales calls to grow market share
Schedule & Compensation
- Typical schedule: 44 hours per week; may include evenings and weekends.
- Estimated pay (provided by source): $102,146 per year (estimated).
- Compensation decisions are based on experience, skills, training, certifications, and business needs. The disclosed estimate has not been adjusted for geographic differentials.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license required
- Bachelor’s degree completed by the program start date
- Ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift/carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year experience in retail, sales, or customer service
- 1+ year experience in leadership or supervising roles
- Experience working in team-oriented settings (work, extracurricular activities, military service)
- Experience selling paint or related products and using POS/timekeeping/CRM systems
- Willingness to relocate for future opportunities
- Multilingual ability; Spanish fluency a plus
