What You’ll Do

Confidential Client’s Management & Sales Training Program is an accelerated, entry-level development program that prepares participants for a Store Management career track (typical progression to Assistant Store Manager after initial training). You will gain hands-on experience across store operations, sales, and leadership while supporting a high-volume retail business.

  • Complete an established, structured training curriculum (initial 8-week core training with ongoing development).
  • Support business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships with retail and commercial clients (painting contractors, purchasing agents, manufacturers, etc.).
  • Partner with store leadership to make outside sales calls and grow market share.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Learn and apply product knowledge to make effective customer recommendations and solutions.
  • Complete store administration tasks, maintain accurate records, and use timekeeping/CRM systems.
  • Maintain store condition and visual merchandising standards, including promotional setups.
  • Support employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action when needed.
  • Respond to and resolve customer and employee concerns in a professional manner.
  • Follow safety, loss prevention, and security policies to protect people and assets.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without needing sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Valid, unrestricted driver’s license required.
  • Bachelor’s degree completed by the start of the development program.
  • Ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to retrieve materials from shelves and floor stacks and to lift/carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs on occasion.

Preferred qualifications:

  • At least 1 year experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory, leadership, or team-leading experience.
  • Experience selling paint or paint-related products is a plus.
  • Experience using timekeeping and/or CRM systems.
  • Team-oriented background (work, extracurriculars, military service, etc.).
  • Willingness to relocate for future opportunities.
  • Multilingual ability; Spanish fluency is a plus.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Typical schedule: approximately 44 hours per week; may include evenings and weekends.
  • Estimated pay: $95,790 per year (estimated). Actual compensation will depend on experience, location, and other factors; Confidential Client follows applicable pay-transparency and compensation disclosure laws.
