Position Overview

This accelerated, entry-level Management & Sales Training Program prepares you for a Store Management role in 18–24 months. Participants complete an initial 8-week intensive training, then work alongside store leadership to manage operations, develop customer relationships, and grow market share with commercial and retail customers. The role typically averages a 44-hour workweek and may include evenings and weekends.


What You’ll Do

  • Complete structured training consistent with the established program
  • Support business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability
  • Deliver excellent customer service and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Build and maintain product knowledge to make effective customer recommendations
  • Develop positive relationships with wholesale and retail customers (contractors, purchasing agents, manufacturers)
  • Assist with store administration and day-to-day operations
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, including safety, loss prevention, and security
  • Maintain store condition and visual merchandising standards, including promotional displays
  • Support employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action
  • Respond to and resolve customer and employee concerns
  • Partner with the Store Manager on outside sales calls to expand market share

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license
  • Must possess a bachelor’s degree by the start of the development program
  • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift/carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs on occasion

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year experience in retail, sales, or customer service
  • 1+ year experience in leadership roles, supervising others, or leading teams
  • Experience working in team-oriented settings (work, extracurriculars, military service)
  • Prior experience selling paint or paint-related products (helpful, not required)
  • Familiarity with timekeeping or customer relationship management (CRM) systems
  • Willingness to relocate for future career opportunities
  • Multilingual abilities, Spanish a plus

Compensation, Schedule & Benefits

  • Estimated pay: $109,070 per year (estimated)
  • Typical schedule: ~44 hours per week; may include evenings and weekends
