Overview

This Management & Sales Training Program is an accelerated, entry-level Retail leadership and sales development program based in Milwaukee, WI. The program prepares participants for a Store Management role in 18–24 months through a structured curriculum, on-the-job experience, and mentorship with store leadership. Successful participants can expect a clear career trajectory into assistant and store manager roles.


Schedule & Compensation

This role is full-time. Typical schedule: 44 hours per week and may include evenings and weekends.

  • Estimated compensation: $69,257 per year (estimated).

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete the program training curriculum and related development activities
  • Support business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability
  • Deliver excellent customer service and ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Build and maintain thorough product knowledge to make effective recommendations
  • Develop and maintain relationships with wholesale and retail customers
  • Perform store administration and ensure compliance with policies, safety, loss prevention, and security
  • Maintain visual merchandising and store presentation standards
  • Support employee training, coaching, performance management, and corrective actions
  • Respond to and resolve customer and employee concerns professionally
  • Partner with Store Manager on outside sales calls to grow market share

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
  • Bachelor’s degree completed by the start of the program
  • Ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve materials from shelves and floor stacks and lift/carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service
  • At least 1 year of leadership experience (supervising others or leading teams)
  • Experience in team-oriented settings (work, activities, military service, etc.)
  • Prior experience selling paint or paint-related products is a plus
  • Familiarity with timekeeping and customer relationship management (CRM) systems
  • Willingness to relocate for future opportunities
  • Multilingual ability; Spanish language skills are a plus

Additional Information

Job duties involve contact with customers (which may include minors) and access to cash, electronic equipment, customer data, store merchandise, and other items of value. The confidential client requires a review of criminal history where permitted and appropriate to protect the safety of customers, employees, vendors, and the public.
