Role Overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Management Development Associate for a 12-month rotational training program based in Norwich, NY. This role is a hands-on training position designed to prepare recent graduates for mid-level professional roles across retail banking, credit, lending, operations, and related areas. Compensation: $25.48 - $33.98 per hour.


What You’ll Do

This is a structured, sequential rotation through multiple banking departments to develop practical skills and business knowledge. Key responsibilities include:

  • Participate in a 12-month rotational training program across Branch, Credit, Business Banking, Retail Collections, Operations, Consumer Lending, Risk, and Call Center functions.
  • Perform core branch tasks (teller duties, customer service, account maintenance) and support branch operations.
  • Assist with credit administration and underwriting tasks (loan support, appraisal coordination, problem-asset exposure).
  • Support consumer lending processes, including underwriting and collections exposure.
  • Contribute to operations tasks: account setup and maintenance, verification, scanning, and account reconciliation.
  • Attend classroom instruction and professional development sessions covering accounting/finance fundamentals, BSA/AML basics, cash management, government banking, wealth management, and other subject-matter overviews.
  • Complete assignments and projects as directed; demonstrate continuous learning and apply training to real work scenarios.

Who We’re Looking For (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • 3.0 cumulative GPA desired.
  • Prior work or volunteer experience preferred.
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; Confidential Client is not able to sponsor employment visas at this time.

  • Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, and customer-relationship abilities.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude.
  • Ability to lead, influence others, and work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn job-specific systems and technical skills.

Physical & Other Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Typically stationary 75% of the time or greater.
  • Ability to move objects up to 10 lbs as needed.
  • Willingness to accept assignments anywhere within the employer’s geographic footprint during training and after program completion.
