Position Summary
Confidential Client, a regional hospital in Coos Bay, OR, is seeking a Mammography Technologist (Mammography Tech) to deliver high-quality diagnostic mammography exams. This full-time, on-site role emphasizes patient-centered care, technical excellence, and collaboration with radiologists and the imaging team.
- Compensation: $72,800 – $114,400 base salary
- Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent

What You’ll Do
The Mammography Tech performs diagnostic and screening mammography exams, adheres to radiation safety and quality assurance standards, and supports patient comfort and confidentiality.
- Perform a variety of mammography exams per established protocols
- Apply mammography imaging principles to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Ensure accurate patient positioning and maintain patient comfort and safety
- Operate digital mammography equipment, PACS, and related imaging software
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and imaging records
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, radiologists, and clinical teams
- Follow radiation safety guidelines and participate in quality assurance processes
- Support departmental workflow and collaborate with imaging staff to meet clinical needs
- Participate in continuing education and maintain required certifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT certification in Radiography and Mammography — required
- Current Oregon Radiologic Technologist license — required
- American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider BLS — required
- Minimum 1 year of mammography experience
- Ability to use PACS and standard imaging/office software
- Strong communication skills and patient-centered bedside manner
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree — highly preferred
- Experience with stereotactic (stereo) biopsy procedures — preferred
- Image Wisely and Image Gently pledge certificates — preferred (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Comfort using digital tools in a technology-driven environment
