Maintenance Engineer

What You’ll Do
- Own and optimize assigned manufacturing processes using a hands-on approach to increase uptime, quality, efficiency and safety.
- Review production reports to identify downtime drivers and performance gaps; create work instructions and troubleshooting guides for operators and maintenance staff.
- Analyze production and maintenance data to find opportunities for cost reduction, cycle-time improvements and higher-value labor allocation.
- Gather process information from operators and maintenance technicians to validate root causes and drive improvements.
- Evaluate parts and consumables for cost, reliability and availability; recommend changes to improve performance.
- Coordinate, schedule and participate in preventive maintenance activities for assigned equipment and processes.
- Lead solution design, planning, implementation and follow-up to ensure expected results are realized.
- Work cross-functionally to support change management and process stabilization.
- Participate in equipment installations, facility upgrades and business expansion projects.
- Partner with outside suppliers for proposals, quotes and procurements related to process improvements.
- Perform hands-on maintenance and maintenance-related projects (this is a hands-on role).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline related to manufacturing.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience (internship or co-op experience counts).
- Practical experience developing and implementing process improvements and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel (tables, trend graphs, worksheets).
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and comfort working directly on equipment.
- Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Shift & Pay
- Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
- Salary: $70,000+/yr (DOE).
