About the Role
We are hiring a Data Analyst on the Product Data Science team to partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to define, instrument, and analyze product metrics that drive decisions. You will turn large, complex health‑care datasets into clear analyses, dashboards, and experimental insights that improve product experience and support clinical outcomes. This role sits at the intersection of product analytics, experimentation, and healthcare data — ideal for analysts who enjoy building reliable metrics, running cohort and A/B analyses, and translating results for cross‑functional stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
- Define and maintain core product metrics, dashboards, and instrumentation for product teams (e.g., adoption, retention, conversion, funnel metrics).
- Design and analyze experiments (A/B tests), including power calculations, metric selection, and results interpretation.
- Build repeatable SQL queries and analytic pipelines to produce timely, accurate reports and ad‑hoc analyses.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to translate business questions into measurement plans and data requirements.
- Perform cohort, funnel, and segmentation analyses to surface user and product insights.
- Communicate findings clearly to non‑technical stakeholders with visualizations and written summaries.
- Work with clinical and engineering teams to ensure data quality and compliance with healthcare data standards and privacy requirements (e.g., de‑identification, HIPAA‑aware practices).
- Contribute to best practices for metrics governance, instrumentation, and analytics automation.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional experience in product or business analytics, data analysis, or a related role.
- Strong SQL skills and experience writing performant queries against large datasets.
- Demonstrated experience creating dashboards and visualizations for product stakeholders.
- Familiarity with A/B testing methodology and experiment analysis.
- Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into clear analytic plans and deliverables.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience presenting results to cross‑functional teams.
- Eligible to work in the United States and able to comply with any required background checks or credentialing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare, clinical data, EHR, or oncology datasets (real‑world data) and working with regulated data sources.
- Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and statistical modeling.
- Experience with modern analytics stacks (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift) and ETL/data pipeline tools.
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Mode.
- Knowledge of metrics governance, event instrumentation, and product analytics frameworks.
- Experience with SQL optimization, analytics engineering practices, or building reproducible analytic workflows.
