Role & Responsibilities

Confidential Client is hiring entry-level Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Consultants for its national M&A practice in Textile Finance, CA. This is an early-career, full-time consulting role that offers hands-on exposure across the M&A lifecycle: diligence, carve-out and integration planning, post-close execution, and sell-side advisory. You will work on cross-functional project teams that combine industry, operations, and technology expertise — including leveraging AI and analytics — to create measurable value for clients.

  • Support operational and technology due diligence during transactions
  • Participate in on-site diligence visits and cross-functional interviews
  • Evaluate operating models and technology investments against industry benchmarks
  • Prepare request lists, agendas, and diligence deliverables
  • Help plan carve-outs, integrations, Day‑1 readiness and transition service agreements
  • Contribute to post-close execution (SMO/IMO) and value-creation initiatives
  • Apply AI and advanced analytics to accelerate insights and improve delivery efficiency
  • Assist with statements of work and proposals for prospective engagements
  • Help refine and scale Confidential Client’s M&A methodologies and delivery approaches

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in progress with expected graduation between December 2026 and August 2027 (candidates must be on track to graduate within this window; graduation date will be verified)
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without limitation or sponsorship now or in the future
  • Reside within 50 miles of your assigned office prior to your start date (hybrid team model)
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% (travel expenses covered by Confidential Client)
  • Experience integrating AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) into workflows, plus strong critical thinking to validate outputs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Majors such as Business Administration, Business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Information Systems, or Supply Chain Management
  • Internship or project experience in M&A, corporate strategy, operations, technology assessment, or analytics

Compensation & Location

  • Estimated base salary: $151,480 per year (estimated figure shown in source posting)
  • Employment type: Full-time
  • Location: Textile Finance, CA (candidates must be within 50 miles of assigned office before start)
  • This role requires up to 50% travel; travel costs are covered by Confidential Client
