Position overview
This entry-level Assistant Project Manager (Low Voltage APM) role supports construction project delivery for a confidential client in the electrical construction and contracting industry. You will provide administrative and onsite/office project support, maintain project documentation, assist the Project Manager with coordination and quality control, and help deliver Owner and Maintenance manuals.

What You’ll Do
You will work closely with the Project Manager and field teams to keep projects organized, compliant, and on schedule.
- Manage project documentation: submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, change orders, and drawing logs
- Maintain submittal, change order, and document control logs and prepare meeting documents
- Prepare and submit accurate contract submittals and assist in creating subcontractor contracts
- Assemble and deliver Owner and Maintenance Manuals; coordinate with subcontractors to collect required documents and drawings
- Keep the project warranty log current
- Attend project and client meetings and provide project management support
- Assist field personnel and monitor other contractors’ activities and progress
- Prepare job information sheets, job files, price change orders, and routine project reports
- Coordinate with payroll and administrative teams to ensure accurate project payroll records
- Ensure the project quality control plan and company policies are followed

- Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and common field methods
- Strong organizational skills, record-keeping, and attention to detail
- Excellent time-management and follow-up skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Professional demeanor; tactful interaction with managers, employees, vendors, and clients
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); familiarity with Oracle is a plus
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities with a positive attitude
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field (or equivalent combination of training and experience)
- Minimum 1 year of construction-related experience
Travel & Working Conditions
- Travel: Up to 25% of the time
- Work environment: Primarily on active construction sites and office settings; activities include sitting, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending
- Typical noise level: Low to medium
- Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
