What You’ll Do

Under routine supervision you will sell and deliver logistics solutions by building and managing carrier capacity and customer relationships. Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain a reliable network of third‑party carriers to fulfill customer orders (securing freight capacity, booking loads, tracking & tracing).
  • Book and appoint loads tendered by customers; monitor shipments and handle customer service issues as they arise.
  • Proactively solicit new business through lead generation and cold calling to promote service solutions.
  • Establish and manage a book of business via daily outreach (calls, emails, follow‑ups) to drive volume and retention.
  • Partner with internal operations, safety, and fraud‑prevention teams to ensure service quality and compliance with SOPs.
  • Contribute to individual and team productivity/profitability metrics and remain current on market and supply‑chain trends.
  • Escalate and resolve customer/carrier issues with clear, timely communication and sound judgment.

Who You Are / Qualifications

Minimum requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Up to 1 year of experience in transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, and/or equivalent military experience — OR equivalent demonstrated skills through education, certifications, or other experience.
  • Ability to work across multiple shifts (including nights/weekends) if required.
  • Strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain working relationships with customers and carriers.
  • Comfortable with outbound sales activities (cold calling, lead follow up) and managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to make productive decisions under pressure.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Experience in transportation/logistics, account management, or customer service in a high‑volume environment.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated pay: $94,885 per year (estimated).
  • May be eligible for annual bonus/incentives based on profitability or volume per company plans.
  • Benefits for full‑time employees (subject to eligibility) may include: medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, short‑ and long‑term disability, paid time off (vacation and sick time), parental leave and paid holidays.
