What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring a Sales Account Representative to develop new business and manage customer relationships across international and domestic transportation channels. This role combines outbound sales activities with solution-selling for freight forwarding and supply chain services.
- Prospect and develop new business through cold calls, networking, email outreach, and referrals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers
- Learn and promote logistics services including ocean freight, air freight, domestic transportation, warehousing, customs brokerage and 3PL solutions
- Assess customer shipping requirements and recommend appropriate transportation solutions
- Prepare quotations and assist with pricing proposals
- Coordinate with Operations and Customer Service to ensure successful shipment execution
- Follow up on quotations, shipments, and ongoing service opportunities
- Maintain accurate sales activities and customer records in the CRM
- Participate in sales meetings, product training, and professional development
- Meet individual sales goals and contribute to team objectives
Who We’re Looking For
Candidates at multiple experience levels are encouraged to apply — from motivated entry-level professionals to experienced freight-forwarding salespeople with existing portfolios.
Entry-level applicants
- Bachelor's degree preferred (Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Marketing or related) or equivalent experience
- Previous sales, customer service, or logistics experience is a plus
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable making outbound sales calls
Experienced applicants (1–10+ years)
- Freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, or supply chain sales experience
- Existing customer portfolio highly preferred
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong understanding of ocean freight, air freight, import/export, customs brokerage, warehousing and domestic transportation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CargoWise is a plus
- Bilingual candidates highly preferred; Mandarin strongly preferred
- Experience working with NVOCCs, freight forwarders, 3PLs or customs brokers is a plus
