What You’ll Do
This Logistic Specialist role supports a confidential client’s transportation and supply chain operations. You will coordinate shipments, manage claims, and work with carriers and internal teams to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-efficient movement of goods.
- Manage end-to-end shipment routing in compliance with legal and customer requirements
- Coordinate routing and carrier selection to meet service and cost objectives
- Own issue resolution for shipments and coordinate with Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) when claims are required
- Track claims status, follow up for reimbursement, and update claims records with recovery details
- Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documentation (certificates of origin, customs invoices, packing lists, certificates of insurance)
- Monitor and expedite specialized or priority shipments as needed
- Identify and capture savings and added-value opportunities in transportation and routing
- Participate in team and client calls, providing logistics subject-matter expertise and project updates
- Ensure compliance with DOT and other transport regulations, including permitting, over-dimensional shipments, and Hazmat requirements
Responsibilities (Detailed)
- Route cargo and coordinate the routing process from origin to destination
- Issue and follow up on claims; coordinate damage repair invoicing and cost recovery with finance/accounting teams
- Document intent to file and file claims with responsible service providers when appropriate
- Maintain and update claims database with status and recovery vs. freight value information
- Train new employees and clients on procedures and systems as needed
- Use client-selected logistics software (e.g., client ALA tool or other platforms) for shipment tracking and documentation
- Research logistics and transportation topics to support continuous improvement and risk mitigation
- Produce and maintain accurate invoicing and shipping records to support accounting and reconciliation
- May contribute to industry publications or internal knowledge resources
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent college degree preferred
- Entry-level role; international logistics experience preferred
- Scheduling and critical-path management experience preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and data analysis capability
- Excellent customer service and issue-resolution experience
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and strong problem-solving ability
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $48,000 - $50,000 per year
- Full-time, salaried (exempt) position
- One day per week remote (WFH) plus standard office-based work in Fort Myers, FL

Schedule & Location
- Location: Fort Myers, Florida (hybrid: primarily office-based, one day/week WFH)
- Work schedule: 40 hours/week, generally 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday
- Some weekend, after-hours support, or on-call rotation may be required
