What You’ll Do
This entry-level Loads & Dynamics Engineer I role supports senior engineers on projects involving dynamic environments and structural dynamics for aerospace systems. You will perform first-order analyses, collect and analyze test and simulation data, and prepare clear technical documentation to support program objectives.
- Assist senior engineers with loads and dynamics analyses for aerospace structures and subsystems
- Perform first-order calculations using aerospace principles, standards, and accepted theories
- Collect, process, and analyze experimental and simulation data (vibration, shock, acoustics)
- Prepare technical notes, test reports, and presentations that summarize findings and recommendations
- Work collaboratively on multidisciplinary teams, follow project plans, and meet deliverable schedules
- Communicate technical concepts clearly, both written and verbal, to engineers and stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Support development and execution of test plans (vibration, shock, random) and data reduction activities
- Run basic analyses and validation checks; document assumptions and results
- Maintain test data, models, and analysis files with traceability and version control
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to risk identification and mitigation efforts
- Learn and apply tools such as MATLAB, NASTRAN (or equivalent) under mentorship
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or related engineering field — or equivalent experience
- Entry-level: 0–2 years of relevant experience
- Fundamental understanding of dynamic environments and structural dynamics
- Familiarity with first-order aerospace analysis methods, standards, and terminology
- Ability to follow direction from senior engineers and contribute effectively within a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical material
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship, co-op, or other hands-on experience in aerospace or related engineering environments
- Familiarity with MATLAB, NASTRAN, or similar analysis tools
- Knowledge of shock, random vibration, and acoustics effects on aerospace hardware
- Experience with structural dynamics applications (modal analysis, FRFs)
- Strong problem-solving orientation, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $82,646.00 - $113,638.25 per year (Confidential Client determines final pay based on experience and internal equity)
