Role Overview

Confidential Client is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) for PRN / Per Diem assignments in Judson, TX. In this patient-facing role you will deliver evaluations, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, participate in discharge planning, support departmental operations, and help supervise PT assistants, rehab techs, students, and volunteers.


What You’ll Do

  • Perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for inpatients and outpatients, accounting for diagnosis- and age-specific needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and documented progress.
  • Provide patient, family, and caregiver education; complete timely discharge planning.
  • Document evaluations, daily/weekly progress notes, and discharge summaries per policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in patient care conferences, interdisciplinary meetings, and in-service training.
  • Assist with orientation, scheduling, and oversight to ensure appropriate patient coverage and supervision.
  • Coordinate and support Physical Therapy and PTA student programs and the volunteer program.
  • Support performance improvement activities and comply with departmental productivity standards.
  • Make appropriate community referrals and identify educational opportunities for self and team.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or entry-level Doctorate (DPT) in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • No prior experience required; entry-level candidates may apply.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt assessment and treatment approaches to meet patients’ physical, developmental, psychological, cultural, and age-specific needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster professional relationships with medical staff, physicians, and referral sources.
  • Ability to contribute to department operations, scheduling, and productivity initiatives.

Licenses & Certifications

  • Licensed as a Physical Therapist by the Texas Executive Council of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners (active, in good standing).
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment/post-offer health screening and required annual screenings thereafter.
