Position Overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Full-Time, Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor to provide telehealth therapy to a diverse client population. In this role you will perform clinical assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions (CBT, DBT, etc.) for individuals, couples, families, and groups. This role is remote but the position is anchored to Ronkonkoma, NY for hiring and compliance purposes.


Work Environment

This is a telecommute position. You will deliver services via secure telehealth platforms from your remote workspace while participating in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. Confidential Client will provide necessary clinical tools and support for remote practice and professional collaboration.


What You’ll Do

  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and ongoing progress reviews.
  • Create and implement individualized treatment plans grounded in evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, DBT).
  • Provide individual, group, couples, and family therapy via telehealth platforms.
  • Deliver crisis intervention and safety planning when clients present with acute needs.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential clinical documentation and progress notes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Coordinate care with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Educate clients and families about conditions, treatment options, and community resources.
  • Participate in continuing education, case consultation, and clinical supervision as required.

Who You Are / Qualifications

  • Licensed Mental Health Therapist credential required (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R).
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or Doctoral degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment-planning skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Self-directed, organized, and able to manage caseloads in a remote setting while collaborating with a team.
  • Commitment to professional ethics and client confidentiality.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior clinical experience in a behavioral health or community mental health setting preferred.
  • Experience delivering therapy via telehealth platforms and familiarity with remote clinical workflows.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: USD 85,000 – 100,000 per year (range depends on experience).
