Position Overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Full‑Time, remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor to provide telehealth-based therapeutic services to a diverse adult and adolescent client population. This role focuses on delivering evidence‑based individual, family, and group therapies, completing thorough clinical assessments, developing tailored treatment plans, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team to support client safety and progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments and periodic clinical evaluations to establish diagnoses and individualized treatment plans.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence‑based modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT) appropriate to client needs.
• Deliver crisis intervention and safety planning for clients experiencing acute mental health episodes.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential clinical documentation (progress notes, treatment plans) consistent with legal and ethical standards.
• Coordinate care with psychiatrists, social workers, and other providers to ensure holistic support for clients.
• Educate clients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, and community resources; advocate for client access to services.
• Participate in professional development activities to maintain clinical currency and enhance practice.

Who We're Looking For

• Current, valid clinical license (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW‑R). Candidates must be authorized to provide clinical services in New York or be able to obtain authorization as required by state law.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or related field strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated competency in clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
• Experience or strong interest in telehealth delivery and comfort using digital platforms for therapy.
• Excellent communication, cultural competence, and ability to work independently within a remote team environment.
• Commitment to professional ethics, client confidentiality, and quality clinical practice.

Location & Work Type

• Remote (telehealth) — candidate will deliver services virtually and must meet any state licensure/telehealth requirements for New York.
• This is a full‑time position. Occasional meetings or trainings may occur during business hours.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: USD 85,000 — 100,000 per year (commensurate with experience).
• Sign‑on bonus offered.
