Legal Recruiting Assistant
The Legal Recruiting Assistant supports the Attorney Recruiting team by coordinating interview schedules, managing candidate communications, and assisting with recruitment events and onboarding activities. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal recruiting environment, contributing to the firm's talent acquisition and retention efforts. What You’ll Do
You will support the Attorney Recruiting team for a confidential client law firm in San Francisco, providing high-quality administrative and coordination support across recruiting programs.
- Coordinate attorney and law student interview schedules across multiple offices and time zones
- Support campus recruiting (OCI), summer associate programs, networking events, and recruiting receptions
- Communicate professionally and promptly with candidates, law schools, search firms, and attorneys
- Prepare interview materials, candidate packets, evaluation forms, and recruiting reports
- Maintain accurate candidate records in the applicant tracking system and recruiting databases
- Coordinate travel arrangements, meeting logistics, and expense processing for candidates
- Track recruiting metrics and prepare reports for the recruiting team
- Assist with offer preparation, onboarding coordination, and orientation activities
- Handle confidential candidate files and recruiting records with discretion
- Provide administrative support for recruiting projects and special initiatives as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 1–2 years’ experience in recruiting, human resources, legal administration, or a professional services environment
- Prior administrative experience in a law firm, legal services, recruiting, or HR is strongly preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Polished, client-service mindset and strong interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with applicant tracking systems is a plus
- Demonstrated discretion handling confidential information
- Familiarity with law school recruiting and on-campus interview (OCI) processes is a plus
Location & Schedule
- Location: San Francisco, CA (onsite/hybrid)
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday 9:30 AM–5:30 PM
- Work pattern: 4 days in office, Fridays work from home
- This role is based in San Francisco and requires regular in-office attendance per the schedule above
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated base: $60,957 per year (estimated)
- Non-exempt, overtime-eligible position
