Overview
Confidential Client (Legal) is hiring an entry-level Legal Assistant for a full-time, hybrid role based in Merion, PA. This position supports attorneys and account managers by preparing high-volume pleadings and correspondence, managing case files, responding to property owner inquiries, and conducting property and courthouse research. What You’ll Do
- Monitor and review case files and records to determine the appropriate next steps
- Prepare pleadings and supporting documents for attorney review and electronic/traditional filing
- Respond to property owner inquiries by phone and negotiate payment terms when appropriate
- Draft correspondence to property owners, third parties, and court personnel
- Research property ownership and courthouse records using online and in-person resources
- Communicate with courthouse staff and other external contacts as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from an accredited university — OR — 1–3 years paralegal, secretarial, or customer service experience in collections and/or real estate law
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; constant attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and online legal/property research tools
- Excellent organization, time management, and the ability to handle competing priorities with urgency
- Dependable, professional, and capable of handling confidential/sensitive situations with poise and tact
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain professional working relationships with diverse colleagues
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
