Role Overview
Confidential Client is hiring a Leave Advisor to deliver high-quality, employee-centered leave-of-absence support. As part of an experienced Leave Team, you will act as a concierge for employees and managers during leave events, ensuring compliance with leave laws and company policies while delivering an excellent employee experience.
Location & Work Arrangement
This posting is for Quivira, KS. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Quivira, KS.
- Estimated pay: $62,197 per year (estimated)
- Regular, predictable on-site attendance is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a leave concierge: guide and educate employees through pre-education, initiation, handling, and return-to-work phases.
- Build and manage relationships with employees, managers, HRBPs and other stakeholders to ensure timely information exchange and issue resolution.
- Maintain working knowledge of federal, state and local paid/unpaid leave laws and company-specific leave policies (including FMLA).
- Use leave management systems to complete tasks by deadline (distribution/collection of required forms, case tracking, closure).
- Coordinate ADA-related processes with internal stakeholders.
- Enter leave actions and time in HR systems (for example, SAP) and coordinate pay entries or removals as appropriate.
- Coordinate and monitor tasks with payroll, vendors, and external providers (e.g., disability vendors).
- Handle escalations and resolve complex leave issues.
- Collaborate with peers to share learnings, cross-train, and drive consistency and continuous improvement.
- Track industry trends and recommend process or technology improvements that enhance the employee experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management or equivalent experience.
- 2–4 years of HR, shared services or human capital consulting experience with disability benefits and leave administration, including FMLA.
- Basic investigative and analytical skills to assess leave needs and recommend appropriate leave plans.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence across multiple levels.
- Experience with service delivery, process optimization and technology-driven solutions.
- Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Regular, reliable attendance and ability to meet deadlines.
- Preferred: PHR or CLMS certification, experience with SAP/ServiceNow/AbsenceSoft, Spanish language skills, and knowledge of Canadian leave rules.
