What You’ll Do
You will support enterprise learning programs that help employees build skills and perform at their best. Working with cross-functional partners and experienced L&D professionals, you'll contribute to instructional design, content development, and program evaluation across retail operations, pharmacy, merchandising, and compliance.
- Contribute to the design and development of engaging learning experiences across modalities (e.g., eLearning, instructor-led, blended).
- Partner with business leaders and subject matter experts to identify learning needs and recommend solutions.
- Maintain and update training content, learning systems, and governance processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Analyze learning data and feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support delivery of required and compliance training programs.
- Coordinate content reviews, quality assurance, and version control for learning materials.

Job Responsibilities
- Develop, write, edit, and QA deliverables for learning initiatives using sound learning design principles.
- Create a variety of learning materials for target audiences (facilitated and self-directed).
- Scope and design learning solutions aligned to customer and business needs.
- Plan, track, and report on learning projects to deliver results on time.
- Diagnose problems, research best practices, and recommend improvements to learning programs.
- Manage internal and external L&D content; curate and adapt relevant content to meet instructional objectives.
- Act as a content moderator for learning communities, encouraging engagement and meeting objectives.
- Support design and implementation of leadership development and functional learning solutions.
- Consult with senior leaders to address business requirements and close knowledge gaps.
- Evaluate and measure the effectiveness of learning initiatives and make recommendations based on results.
- Analyze usability of systems and recommend improvements to interface, design, and task flow.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree plus at least 1 year of experience in learning content, instructional design, or organizational development; or High School/GED plus at least 4 years of relevant experience.
- At least 1 year experience in curriculum development and designing training or organizational effectiveness solutions.
- Familiarity with performance and process improvement methodologies.
- Demonstrated time management and project tracking skills across multiple initiatives.
- Experience developing presentations for varied audience levels.
- Experience establishing and maintaining relationships across organizational levels.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and creative thinking.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% for business purposes (in-state and out-of-state).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, organizational development, instructional design, education, or related field.
- Experience with web/multimedia tools and learning technologies (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Captivate, HTML, LMSs, mobile learning, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Project management experience (planning, organizing, managing resources).
- Background in retail or healthcare training and compliance.
- Experience facilitating working sessions to gather requirements.
- Experience with research, root cause analysis, and storytelling/written communication for learning content.
Location & Compensation
Work location: 106 Wilmot Rd, Deerfield/Bannockburn area (IL). This role is salaried and the employer has provided a pay range for transparency:
- Base salary: USD 71,400 — 114,300 per year (salary offered will depend on geography, experience, skills, and other factors).
