What You’ll Do

This role supports on-project Lean implementation to improve planning, coordination, and workflow reliability. You will work alongside project teams, Lean champions, and project leaders to facilitate planning routines, deliver introductory Lean training, and coach teams toward consistent use of Lean tools and behaviors.

  • Support Lean implementation activities on assigned construction projects with guidance from Senior Lean Associates or Lean Managers
  • Facilitate early planning cycles and encourage team ownership of planning routines
  • Support delivery of introductory Lean and Last Planner System training and prepare project-specific training materials
  • Coach project teams on Last Planner System behaviors, planning practices, and commitment reliability
  • Assist with Team Health Survey setup, data collection, documentation, and retrospectives (capture actions and improvement themes)
  • Support logistics for partnering sessions, Collaborative Design Sessions, and team alignment events; assist in breakout activities (not expected to independently lead sessions)
  • Provide feedback and help pilot test Lean tools, templates, and processes
  • Travel to offices, client sites, subcontractor/supplier meetings, and project locations across North America as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field — or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1–3 years experience implementing Lean practices on construction projects (or equivalent)
  • Experience in collaborative planning and facilitation environments preferred
  • Understanding of Lean philosophy and the Last Planner System; familiarity with CPM/Last Planner integration preferred
  • Familiarity with Touchplan or other Last Planner System management tools preferred
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and coaching skills
  • Willingness to travel to project locations across North America for extended periods (up to 85%)

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Prior experience coaching project teams in Last Planner behaviors
  • Exposure to continuous improvement metrics and retrospective facilitation
  • Experience supporting pilot testing of process improvements or tools
