What You’ll Do

This Leadership Development Professional role is a 12‑month, hands-on rotational program based at a lumber mill in Idabel, OK. You will learn core manufacturing operations, develop front-line leadership skills, and lead process-improvement projects under the mentorship of experienced leaders. The program mixes operational rotations, metrics-driven projects, and cross-functional exposure (Timberlands, Raw Materials, Sales, Finance) to prepare you for a future leadership assignment that may require relocation.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and demonstrate safety-first leadership behaviors in all work areas
  • Complete a structured 12‑month rotation through mill operations and support functions
  • Lead or contribute to process improvement and reliability projects using data and metrics
  • Support operational performance through hands-on assignments and project work
  • Build partnerships across teams (operations, maintenance, raw materials, sales, finance)
  • Present findings and project results to leadership; communicate clearly with stakeholders
  • Practice prioritization and follow-through in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business, Engineering, Forestry or a related discipline — OR on track to earn a Bachelor’s by Summer 2027
  • Willingness to work within and promote a strong safety culture
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience or coursework in project management a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other Windows-based tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative teams
  • Self-motivated, dependable, with good time-management and organizational habits
  • Willingness to relocate at the conclusion of the program for future role placement

Compensation & Benefits

  • Target salary range: $58,830 - $88,245 (based on skills, qualifications and experience)
  • Annual incentive program: target bonus ~5% of base pay (plan funding may vary)
  • Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, short- and long-term disability, and voluntary plans
  • Pre-tax Health Savings Account option with company contribution
  • 401(k) plan with company match and an annual company contribution equal to 5% of base salary
  • Paid time off: 3 weeks’ vacation in year one (for eligible employees) plus 11 paid holidays; parental leave available
  • Relocation assistance available for this role and for future placements as required

Location & Relocation

  • Primary training location: Idabel, OK (southeast Oklahoma; near Broken Bow Lake)
  • This role is onsite during the training/rotation period. At the end of the program you will be placed in a role that meets business needs — relocation may be required. Relocation support is available.
