What You’ll Do

  • Engage with business partners to analyze processes, gather requirements, and recommend technical solutions.
  • Lead the full software development lifecycle: analysis, design, implementation, QA, delivery, and support.
  • Drive solution design and lead architecture reviews.
  • Design and implement front-end solutions using technologies such as React.
  • Design, document, and implement cloud-first solutions using Python, Node.js, .NET/C#, and/or Java.
  • Use cloud-native and serverless patterns (for example, AWS Lambda) where appropriate.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers; lead a team of 3–10 engineers.
  • Collaborate on estimation, scope, timelines, and continuous improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Experience leading teams of 3–10 software and/or QA engineers.
  • Strong stakeholder management: set expectations and communicate status with technical and business partners.
  • Track record mentoring and developing technical leaders.
  • Proven ability to manage scope, timelines, and deliverables to successful completion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong relationship-building ability.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Front-end experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more backend languages: Python, Node.js, .NET/C#, or Java.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented principles.
  • Thorough understanding of database design and SQL.
  • Good understanding of cloud trade-offs and when to apply cloud-first patterns.
  • Experience leveraging AI in the software development lifecycle.
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Management, MIS/CIS, or related degree.

Desired (Optional) Qualifications

  • Mobile app experience (iOS/Android).
  • Hands-on AWS or Azure cloud experience.
  • Experience designing reporting and transactional data models (AWS RDS, RedShift, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle).
  • Familiarity with autoscaling, serverless, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, and containers.
  • Data engineering experience (ETL, data analytics, MDM).
  • Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate).

Work Model & Location

  • This role is located in Nashville, TN and operates in a hybrid working model (on-site + remote as agreed with the team).
  • Applicants should be able to work from the Nashville area as required by the assignment.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Reasonable estimate of the U.S. base salary range for this role: $89,600 - $198,400 per year.
