What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Landscape Designer (PLA) to support land development project teams. You will contribute to creative and technical landscape design work while learning industry standards and best practices through hands-on project experience.
- Support project and task leaders with landscape architecture and design assignments
- Conduct research, preliminary analyses, design calculations, and site observations to support project development
- Prepare base plans, exhibits, drawings, and revisions under senior direction
- Participate in peer reviews and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate, high-quality deliverables
- Research and apply client, government, and regulatory standards to project assignments
- Build proficiency with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite and other design tools; apply feedback to strengthen technical skills
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field
- Basic knowledge and efficient use of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work
- Ability to take direction, ask clarifying questions, and incorporate feedback
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of client, government, and regulatory standards
- Must be authorized to work in the United States (Confidential Client will comply with all applicable employment eligibility verification requirements)
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Internship, studio, or academic project experience in landscape architecture, land development, or related design fields
- Hand-drawing, sketching, or other graphic communication skills
- Familiarity with preparing plans, exhibits, and design presentations
- Portfolio showcasing academic, internship, or personal design work
