Position Summary (Recruiter Overview)
Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is hiring a motivated Landscape Architect in Training to join a multidisciplinary engineering team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This is an entry- to early-career, full-time role focused on landscape design, production of construction documents, and coordination with project teams, clients, and permitting agencies. The role emphasizes design production, presentation graphics, and local plant knowledge specific to South Florida.
What You’ll Do
- Produce projects from design development through construction documents, including landscape and irrigation plans.
- Manage multiple projects and maintain project schedules.
- Produce design and presentation graphics using CAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Perform field inspections and write observation reports.
- Coordinate with project team members, clients, agencies, and subconsultants to resolve issues and keep projects on track.
- Participate in public representation and construction administration as needed.
What We’re Looking For (Skills & Experience)
- At least 0–2 years of landscape architecture experience; 1+ year in a multidisciplinary firm preferred.
- Knowledge of South Florida plant material and regional site conditions.
- Proficiency in CAD and Adobe Creative Suite; experience with 3D rendering software preferred.
- Knowledge of MicroStation and FDOT processes is a plus.
- Strong organizational and schedule-management skills.
- Excellent written, oral, graphic and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ambitious professional looking to grow in landscape architecture.
Education & Licenses
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program required.
- Appropriate professional certification preferred (e.g., LARE progress or license as applicable).
