What You’ll Do
This is a hands-on Laboratory Technician role supporting pharmaceutical production and compounding operations for a Confidential Client. The position focuses on preparing medications for compounding, operating production equipment, performing sterile compounding in cleanrooms, and maintaining accurate production and quality documentation.
- Prepare medications for compounding following established procedures and quality standards.
- Operate powder handling machines, tablet/capsule grinding equipment, and other production machinery safely and accurately.
- Perform sterile compounding activities in a cleanroom environment following aseptic and safety protocols.
- Weigh, measure, and verify quantities for compounded and packaged products to ensure accuracy.
- Package finished pharmaceutical products, label them correctly, and prepare shipments in compliance with shipping guidelines.
- Handle shipping and receiving tasks for finished products including documentation and coordination with shipping dock staff.
- Complete production logs, batch records, and QA documentation accurately and on time.
- Clean and sanitize facilities, cleanrooms, and equipment daily to maintain compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Participate in required training and continuing education to maintain technical and regulatory knowledge.
- Communicate effectively with pharmacists, technicians, and cross-functional team members to support workflow.
- Follow SOPs and use sound judgment to address routine production issues while escalating non-routine concerns.
Qualifications
- Laboratory or pharmacy experience required.
- High school diploma, Associate’s degree, or Bachelor’s degree (in relevant field preferred).
- Experience with pharmaceutical compounding, sterile techniques, or production equipment is highly desirable.
- Ability to follow written procedures (SOPs) and maintain precise documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, good manual dexterity, and commitment to safety and quality.
- Effective communicator and able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Able to perform repetitive tasks in a cleanroom/on-site production area and follow PPE and sanitation protocols.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract-to-Hire, full-time position. The role is fully onsite in Saint Peter, MN (Confidential Client site).
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour. Actual pay offered will depend on qualifications, experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
