What You’ll Do
As a Laboratory Technician supporting manufacturing quality control, you will perform analytical testing and documentation to ensure product quality and support production operations.
- Perform quality control testing on incoming raw materials and finished products
- Conduct wet chemistry analyses including viscosity, refractive index, titrations, boiling point determinations, and gas chromatography (GC)
- Evaluate foundry and sand-based products with strength, tensile, and compressibility testing
- Review and interpret test results to verify product quality and release materials for production
- Generate Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and maintain accurate laboratory records
- Assist with laboratory housekeeping, inventory management, and equipment calibration
- Document and report nonconforming materials and quality concerns
- Follow established laboratory procedures, safety standards, and quality guidelines
- Collaborate with production personnel and supervisors to support manufacturing goals
Schedule & Compensation
- Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (2nd shift)
- Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
- Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire (potential for permanent hire)
- Overtime: Available and may be required based on production demands
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or another Natural Science discipline
- Laboratory experience gained through academic coursework, internships, research projects, or prior employment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established testing procedures
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing and production-support environment
Preferred
- Experience with analytical laboratory instrumentation (e.g., GC, viscometers, refractometers)
- Familiarity with quality control testing methods, COA generation, and laboratory documentation practices
