Pay & Schedule
This position is full-time and on-site in Mount Olive, NJ.
- Pay Rate: $20–22 / hour
- Schedule: Standard business hours (may include some flexibility based on lab needs)
What You’ll Do
As a Laboratory Technician I supporting a confidential client in a GLP-compliant laboratory, you will assist scientific staff with routine laboratory operations, equipment upkeep, and documentation to ensure safe, accurate results.
- Perform routine lab tasks such as weighing samples, sample extraction, separation, and concentration under supervision.
- Prepare routine solutions, wash glassware, and organize supplies to maintain lab workflow.
- Follow SOPs and GLP practices to accurately document work and maintain regulatory compliance.
- Perform basic calibration and routine maintenance of lab equipment.
- Communicate clearly with scientists and lab staff through verbal updates and written records.
- Complete required training (GLPs, Radioactive Safety, USDA Regulated Soil protocols, and site SOPs).
Physical & Environmental Requirements
This is an active, on-site role in a regulated laboratory setting.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and move around the lab frequently.
- Occasional lifting of materials and equipment up to ~25 lbs.
- Work with hazardous chemicals and biological materials following safety protocols and PPE requirements.
Qualifications
Candidates should meet one of the following education/experience criteria:
- High school diploma or equivalent with a strong interest in life sciences.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related field with 0–2 years of lab experience.
- Prior laboratory or analytical experience is a plus but not required.
Core Skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs, policies, and GLP regulations.
- Clear oral and written communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel).
- Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and become self-sufficient in daily lab responsibilities.
- Ability to perform routine equipment calibration and maintenance.
