Position type & Location

This is a contract, onsite Laboratory Technician role based in Hunt Valley, MD (Hunt Valley, Maryland). Compensation: $20.00–$22.00 per hour.

What You’ll Do

This entry-level laboratory role supports R&D activities for food and beverage product development. You will work in an onsite lab environment handling samples, assisting sensory and quality activities, and maintaining accurate records.

• Evaluate food and beverage products for research and development efforts
• Prepare and conduct product quality sensory evaluations on sensory samples
• Receive, ship, and log samples
• Weigh, measure, and prepare raw material ingredients
• Maintain and manage controls and reference materials
• Keep lab stock and supplies organized and assist in upholding company standards
• Manage the samples inventory database
• Accurately document and file data
• Support customer complaint resolution and corrective actions as needed

Who You Are / Qualifications

• Recent science graduate or equivalent with some relevant work experience (experience in food service or the food industry is a plus)
• Quick learner, adaptable, and ready to work in a lab environment
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; high school diploma acceptable with prior lab experience or certification (not suitable for a fresh high school graduate)
• Comfortable working onsite in Hunt Valley, MD
• Entry-level or early career applicants encouraged to apply
