What You’ll Do

This entry-level role supports laboratory data automation and informatics for a confidential client operating in biopharma and laboratory testing services. You will work with lab and quality teams to build and maintain tools that improve data collection, processing, and reporting in a regulated environment.

  • Develop and maintain custom spreadsheets and automated tools (Excel/VBA or similar) to support laboratory data workflows and reporting.
  • Collaborate with laboratory and quality teams to translate business needs into technical solutions and process improvements.
  • Support configuration, testing, and deployment of data management and informatics solutions.
  • Assist with software validation activities and documentation, including URS, FRS, IQ/OQ, and UAT.
  • Review automated tools to ensure they meet validation, quality, and data-integrity requirements.
  • Troubleshoot, update, and support end users for existing applications and spreadsheets.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation in accordance with procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Learn and apply best practices related to laboratory informatics, GxP, and data integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific/technical discipline.
  • Exposure to programming through coursework, internships, academic projects, or work experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Visual Basic, VBA, Python, or another programming language.
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel automation or VBA.
  • Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in data analysis, software development, or laboratory settings.
  • Familiarity with software validation, quality systems, or regulated environments (pharma/biotech).
  • Knowledge of GxP, data integrity principles, or computerized system validation concepts.
  • Ability to learn new platforms and tools quickly and work cross-functionally.

Schedule & Location

  • Full-time (Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; additional hours as needed).
  • Candidates should be within a commutable distance of Lancaster, PA.
