What You’ll Do

The Confidential Client is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Laboratory/Cryopreservation Technician to join their processing and quality control team in Plain City, OH. This hands-on role supports semen processing, quality control (QC), and cryopreservation activities while protecting product quality and following SOPs and safety protocols.

• Perform semen processing tasks and follow all SOPs for handling, labeling, and storage of products
• Conduct QC evaluations, observe quality indicators, and report abnormalities
• Prepare materials, equipment, and workstations for daily production
• Maintain production flow, efficiency, and lab cleanliness
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment; troubleshoot common issues within scope
• Follow established protocols to prevent contamination and product loss
• Document results and follow company software systems and recordkeeping procedures
• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements
• Provide informal mentorship to less experienced technicians when needed

Schedule & Location

This is an on-site, full-time position based in Plain City, OH.

Typical schedule:

• Monday: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
• Tuesday–Friday: 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM (EST)

Schedule and duties may change based on departmental needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred but not required
• Reliable transportation and the ability to meet attendance expectations
• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively with team members across the facility
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely in an SOP-driven environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented production setting and maintain focus during repetitive tasks
• Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn required systems
• Eligible to be insured and drive a company vehicle per policy
• Experience or knowledge in artificial insemination, bovine genetics/reproduction, or the agriculture industry is a plus — training is available for motivated candidates

Physical & Work Environment

• Ability to stand/walk for 6–8 hours per day
• Frequently sit for 3–6 hours and bend/stoop for 3–6 hours
• Occasionally squat/kneel (1–3 hours)
• Occasional lifting per job demands (see detailed requirements), and safe use of PPE and safety equipment
