What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support regulated laboratory, manufacturing, production, and logistics activities. This 12-month contract role includes hands-on lab work, production support, and coordination with cross-functional teams to keep operations running safely, on time, and to quality standards.

  • Perform laboratory procedures, record observations, measurements, and test results accurately.
  • Maintain laboratory documentation and report findings following regulatory and quality requirements.
  • Clean, disinfect, and maintain cleanrooms and laboratory equipment per established procedures.
  • Receive, inspect, organize, and store raw materials; maintain supply inventories and place orders as needed.
  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot formulation and manufacturing equipment under supervision.
  • Support routine and non-routine production operations safely and efficiently.
  • Coordinate internal order processing, inventory tracking, and logistics activities.
  • Provide direction and support to paraprofessional or entry-level staff when required.
  • Support process-improvement initiatives (Lean methods and other strategies) to optimize workflows and infrastructure.
  • Assist with activities specific to agricultural/seed production as needed (small-seeded vegetables and related crops).

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field may be required or preferred.
  • Experience in laboratory, manufacturing, production, agriculture/seed production, logistics, or related technical environments.
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety, manufacturing practices, and quality systems.
  • Experience in cleanroom procedures and basic equipment maintenance.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Prior experience guiding junior staff or paraprofessionals is a plus.

Compensation & Schedule

  • Pay rate: $22.75 per hour (contract).
  • Estimated annualized compensation (for reference): ~$63,747 per year (estimate).
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
  • Contract duration: 12 months.
