What You’ll Do

This onsite, contract Lab Technician role supports quality assurance (QA) activities across laboratory environments. You will perform equipment verification and basic calibration work, support document control and records management, and assist the QA team with routine lab tasks that keep labs compliant and operating smoothly.

• Assist with thermometer verification and calibration procedures
• Support balance and weight verification programs and routine scale checks
• Perform document control tasks: file management, converting controlled documents to PDF, and maintaining electronic records
• Enter, validate, and review data in lab spreadsheets and databases
• Prepare labels, logs, forms, and program documentation
• Organize QA supplies and quality control (QC) check samples; dispose of expired QC materials under supervision
• Support SOP management and revision workflows
• Assist with routine QA and laboratory duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Environmental Sciences preferred)
• Experience working with laboratory balances, scales, and thermometers
• Familiarity with basic calibration or verification activities
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and common lab data entry tasks
• Valid California driver’s license
• Entry-level experience appropriate; good attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in a QA/QC laboratory environment
• Prior exposure to electronic document control systems and SOP workflows
• Basic understanding of laboratory safety and handling of QC materials

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $24.00 per hour
• Individual compensation offered will depend on qualifications, experience, and other job-related factors.
