Position Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Lab Technician to support laboratory operations and scientific research activities in Piscataway, NJ. This role supports regulated workflows (LNP, mRNA, circular RNA, sgRNA), routine sample processing, and analytical assays. Strong attention to detail, adherence to SOPs, and good documentation habits are required.

Schedule & Compensation

• 2 shifts available:
  • Wed–Sun 9:30 AM–6:00 PM — $24–$26 per hour
  • Wed–Sun 9:00 PM–6:00 AM — $28 per hour
• Pay is hourly. Shift differentials listed above reflect the rates provided by the client.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory procedures and experiments per established protocols and SOPs.
• Support LNP, mRNA, circular RNA, and sgRNA workflows.
• Prepare, handle, and process samples while maintaining accurate documentation.
• Conduct dialysis and membrane-based sample processing using appropriate MWCO materials.
• Run analytical assays and measurements such as RiboGreen and zeta potential analyses.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, experimental data, and inventory of supplies.
• Follow safety procedures, quality standards, and ISO 9001–aligned processes.
• Assist with troubleshooting experiments and identifying issues with samples or equipment.
• Work collaboratively with scientists and other laboratory staff to meet project goals.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or related scientific field preferred — strong academic or hands-on laboratory experience will be considered.
• Familiarity with common laboratory techniques and equipment.
• Ability to follow written procedures and maintain careful records.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience with LNP/mRNA, circular RNA, or sgRNA workflows.
• Dialysis and MWCO membrane-based processing.
• RiboGreen assays and zeta potential measurements.
• Experience working under SOPs in regulated laboratory environments and with ISO 9001 or other quality systems.
