What You’ll Do
- Receive, sort, and process incoming oligonucleotide (oligo) synthesis orders using established workflows.
- Independently operate laboratory equipment including pipettes, automated liquid handlers, spectrophotometers, and mass spectrometers.
- Perform quality control workflows and document results precisely according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Prepare, label, and package completed orders for customer shipment.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, restock supplies, and follow hazardous materials handling procedures.
- Accurately record data and escalate issues per laboratory protocols.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, or related field preferred.
- At least 6 months of laboratory experience preferred; entry-level candidates with lab exposure are encouraged to apply.
- Experience or familiarity with pipettes, automated liquid handlers, spectrophotometers, or mass spectrometers is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
- Competency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) for basic data entry and reporting.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and safely handle hazardous chemicals with proper PPE.
- Reliable for on-site, scheduled night shift (M–F, 2:30PM–11:00PM EST).
Schedule & Compensation
- Employment type: Full-time.
- Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:30PM–11:00PM EST (on-site).
- Base pay: $16.50–$20.50 per hour (range provided by the client). Additional pay/benefits depend on client policy.
Location & On-site Requirements
- Location: West Indianapolis, IN (on-site).
- Candidates must be able to commute to the West Indianapolis facility and meet on-site safety requirements.
- May require basic background or employment verification per client policy.
